Keqiao Enterprises: Qualified Suppliers Must Have A Sense Of Social Responsibility.

At the seminar, a member of Sweden's world-renowned furniture and home retailer, "IKEA home", who was responsible for the procurement department of the China region, revealed to the participants the bottom line of IKEA's procurement: the company that assumes social responsibility is a prerequisite for IKEA suppliers.
After the company is selected, IKEA will continue to help its suppliers to enhance their social responsibilities.
"Water saving is the most critical project."
Mr. Zhang gave IKEA the way to boost suppliers' water-saving: first, we must ensure the normal operation of all the suppliers and lower level suppliers of water treatment devices, that is, through relevant audit; secondly, use supplier sustainability index to measure and monitor the water efficiency of suppliers; secondly, through the implementation of projects, collect good practices, develop a series of advocacy and checklists to guide suppliers to carry out water saving; finally, organize and implement training to improve the efficiency.

Under the buyer's request, the water consumption of IKEA supplier has been significantly reduced per 100 meter cloth: from 2014 to 25.4 tons in the whole year, to 24.6 tons in the first half of 2015, 20.5 tons in the second half of the same year, and 18.5 tons in March 2016.
IKEA suppliers have reached the international level of water consumption per 100 meter cloth, which makes most printing and dyeing enterprises in Keqiao "unable to catch up". These suppliers have also achieved better economic benefits while undertaking social responsibilities.

As the first printing and dyeing enterprise in Shaoxing to publish the social responsibility system, Zhejiang red and blue textile printing and dyeing Co., Ltd. became the only Shaoxing enterprise to attend the seminar.
"Red and blue" has also incorporated the social responsibility work of workers' labor security benefits, water saving and energy conservation into the development of enterprises.

Since 2011, "red and blue" has been implementing the Chinese textile and garment enterprise responsibility management system (CSC9000T) for 5 consecutive years in enterprises. The annual environmental investment accounts for 15% of the fixed investment.
But high investment has also won a high return. "Red and blue" has become the leader of Keqiao and even Shaoxing's printing and dyeing industry. The profits and taxes have always been the top of the enterprises in Keqiao district.
In September of this year, the company paid 75 million 840 thousand yuan in taxes and fees, an increase of more than 20% over the same period last year.
