The Cheongsam Show Held At The Former Site Of Guangzhou Grand Marshal'S Mansion Reappears The Historical Scene Of A Century Ago

The "Cheongsam Festival of the Marshal's Mansion" series activities were held at the Memorial Hall of the Marshal's Mansion of Sun Yat sen in Guangzhou on the 16th, and featured activities such as cheongsam photo experience, characteristic beading DIY, and night garden tours were staged from morning to night.

The former site of Guangzhou Grand Marshal's Mansion is an important memorial site for the first Kuomintang Communist cooperation. Qipao was once a popular dress for women in modern China, which not only contained the romance of Chinese traditional culture, but also was closely related to the cause of women in modern China. Song Qingling, He Xiangning and others who came out of the Grand Admiral's Mansion like to wear cheongsam, leaving many precious images.

In 2019, the former site of Guangzhou Grand Marshal's Mansion was listed in the "Fourth Batch of China's 20th Century Architectural Heritage List". Its predecessor was the Guangdong Shimin Clay Factory built in 1906. The existing gatehouse and two corridors of Chinese and Western styles are similar to the cheongsam with Chinese flavor and Western tailoring.
