According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs on April 12, in dollar terms, due to poor international shipping logistics, increased trade frictions and tariff barriers, less than expected economic recovery of major trading partners, no large-scale rebound in demand, and the impact of the high base in March last year, textile and clothing exports in March did not continue to grow from January to February, and the export amount of that month fell 17.4% year on year. In the first quarter, textile and clothing exports totaled US $65.91 billion, up 2% year on year, showing a weak recovery trend. Among them, textile exports totaled US $32.09 billion, up 2.6% year on year, and clothing exports totaled US $33.82 billion, up 1.4% year on year.

In March, textile and clothing exports amounted to 147.89 billion yuan, down 14.9% year on year and up 15.7% month on month. Among them, textile exports amounted to 73.77 billion yuan, down 14.4% and up 22.9% month on month, while clothing exports amounted to 74.12 billion yuan, down 15.4% and up 9.3% month on month.
