China Strongly Urges The US Side To Stop Its Wrong Practice And Withdraw The "Withholding Order" Of Xinjiang Cotton
On December 8, a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce answered a reporter's question on the withholding order issued by the US Customs and Border Protection Bureau on cotton and cotton products of Xinjiang production and Construction Corps.
The spokesman said that China has taken note of the statement issued by CBP on December 2. The production of cotton products by the "baizifang" and "Wuzi regiment" was forced to produce cotton products. Under the banner of "human rights", the US side hypes the Xinjiang issue, deliberately creates excuses to interfere in China's internal affairs and restricts China's normal foreign trade activities. China is strongly dissatisfied with this and firmly opposes it.

The wrong practices of the United States interfere with the normal cooperation between Chinese and American enterprises, undermine the stability of the global supply chain and damage the interests of all parties. China strongly urges the US side to stop its wrong practice and withdraw the "withholding order". China will also take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.
