Guangxi Sericulture Technology Promotion Station Participated In The 17Th China ASEAN Expo

On November 27-30, the 17th China ASEAN Expo was held in Nanning, Guangxi. At the China ASEAN agricultural international cooperation exhibition of the Expo, Guangxi sericulture technology promotion station showed the independently cultivated silkworm and mulberry new varieties and independently developed sericulture resources utilization products. Vice station director Wei Wei introduced the relevant scientific research achievements to the exhibition leaders and media.

With the theme of "innovation promoting development, exchange promoting cooperation", the exhibition focused on three pairs of new silkworm varieties, all of which were approved in 2020. Among them, Guican No. 8 has been popularized and applied in Yizhou, Xincheng, Napo and other places in Guangxi, showing a strong and good rearing performance and excellent cocoon and silk quality; Guican No. 10 is the first Yellow Silkworm Variety resistant to blood pyogenic type in China. At the same time, the excellent hybrid mulberry seeds, such as guisangyou 12, guisangyou 62 and sangteyou 2, were presented to Cuba nine times in succession and planted in Cuba. Now, they have taken root and sprouted and become the witness of Sino Cuban friendship.

During the Expo, leaders such as Liu Jun, director of the Agricultural Office of the Autonomous Region Party committee and director of the agricultural and rural Department of the autonomous region, visited the sericulture exhibition stand.
