The Fifth Symposium On Textile Relics Of The Chinese Society Of Cultural Relics Was Held In Changsha

From October 15th to 17, the Fifth Symposium on "Chu Feng Han Yun - the textile heritage of the Chinese Heritage Society" hosted by the textile heritage Specialized Committee and Hunan Provincial Museum of Chinese antiquities society was successfully held in Changsha, Xingcheng. Hundreds of leaders, textile and clothing experts and scholars from the National Cultural Relics Bureau, the Archaeological Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the National Museum of China, the Shanghai Museum, the Liaoning Museum, the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor Museum, Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology and more than 70 institutions of higher learning and enterprises have gathered together to discuss the techniques and techniques of textiles and clothing protection and inheritance in the Chu Han period on the topic of "Research on textile artifacts unearthed from Chu tomb" and "Research on the costume of Han Tombs in Mawangdui".

The seminar is divided into four parts: opening ceremony, keynote speech, conference discussion and closing ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Chen Xuliang, deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Museum. The leaders of Hunan provincial culture and Tourism Department, Hunan Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau and Hunan Provincial Museum attended the opening ceremony. At the ceremony, Li Jianmao, deputy director of the China antiquities society textile heritage Specialized Committee, the party secretary and deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Museum, Wang Yarong, chairman of the textile heritage of the Chinese society of cultural relics, Wang Yarong, vice president of the Chinese society of antiquities, researcher An Jiayao of the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Huang Yuan, vice president and Secretary General of the Chinese society of cultural relics, vice chairman of the Chinese society of cultural relics, member of the Party group and deputy director of Hunan culture and Tourism Department, Chen Yuanping, director of the Bureau of cultural relics of China.

After the opening ceremony, Wang Yarong made the keynote speech on the "embroidery skills in textile archaeology". From the angle of personal experience, she took time as the axis to comprehensively sort out the specimens of embroidery that have been obtained in the field archaeological excavation. At the same time, it focused on the excavation, protection and research of more than ten tombs unearthed from more than ten tombs excavated from the tomb of tomb 1, Mashan, Jiangling, Hunan, Changsha, Mawangdui, Han tombs, Shaanxi, Fufeng, Famen Temple, Tangta Palace of the Earth, Xinjiang, and so on. On the basis of these works, the embroidery genealogy of ancient China was constructed and sorted out in order to construct the ancient embroidery system in Hubei.

During the meeting, nearly 20 experts and scholars from the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, capital museum, Shanghai Museum, Hunan Provincial Museum, Liaoning Provincial Museum, Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor Museum, Northwestern Polytechnical University Cultural Heritage Research Institute, Yangzhou University, Jiangnan University and Nanjing Yun Brocade Institute reported on their respective research topics. Among them, Northwestern Polytechnical University researcher Yang Junchang, using modern technology and traditional craft investigation method, systematically analyzed and studied the production process of "twisting gold line" in Tang Dynasty, so as to provide scientific evidence and technical support for the protection and utilization of cultural relics along the Silk Road along different regions and different countries, and the exchange and integration of archaeological culture. Wang Jisheng, an archaeological research institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, focused on the systematic analysis and research of the weaving technology and garment making of plain yarn in Mawangdui Han tomb by means of experimental archaeology. Yang Jiyuan, Nanjing cloud brocade Institute, takes 6 silk relics in Mawangdui's Han tomb as an example to share with you the difficult problems and valuable experience gained in the process of imitation.

The Fifth Symposium on "Chu Feng Han Yun - the textile heritage Specialized Committee of the Chinese society of cultural relics" combed and summarized the research results of ancient Chinese textile relics, especially the textile and clothing in Chu Han period, and pointed out the direction for future research and exploration. The Hunan provincial museum also hopes to take this seminar as an opportunity to learn and draw on the successful experience to further enhance the museum's ability to protect and research silk cultural relics, and to provide new ideas for the research and imitation of Mawangdui's Han tombs.
