Xia Lingmin Takes A Tour To Eastern Europe To See Ukraine Textile Industry Through Kiev Fashion Show
In the autumn of the year, Xia Lingmin, vice chairman of the China Textile Federation, led the textile and trade promotion branch, and organized the Chinese textile delegation to visit Ukraine and Belarus in Eastern Europe. They also discussed the possibility of implementing the cooperation between the two sides to understand the environment and policies of the Eastern European countries in investing and developing the industry. A total of 22 participants from the relevant professional associations of the China Textile Association and representatives of well-known entrepreneurs from the chemical fiber, cotton spinning, knitting and circulation markets participated in the visit.
In September 12th, the Chinese textile delegation first visited the Kiev fashion exhibition. The exhibition is a comprehensive exhibition of traditional clothing, fur, fabrics, home textiles, accessories and other products in Ukraine. Although the exhibition area of 15 thousand square meters is not too large, the display of all kinds of textile and garment products is fine and professional. It fully reflects the higher design ability and level of Ukraine in terms of color, fabric and fashion. Lin Yunfeng, vice president of the textile Promotion Association, also praised the small and exquisite exhibition.
Ukraine's light textile industry was very prosperous in the Soviet era. It was an important base for the Soviet Union's clothing production. However, with the breakup of the Soviet Union and the two "Color Revolution", Ukraine's textile and garment industry suffered great setbacks, the original supply chain was interrupted, the export to Russia was limited, the production chain was no longer complete, and a large number of professionals and manpower were draining away. At present, Ukraine relies on the unique design level to support the domestic garment industry. However, it is faced with a serious shortage of all kinds of fabrics. 90% garment accessories need to be imported. Compared with other neighboring countries, Ukraine has a population of about 40000000, which can be regarded as a large regional market. However, Ukraine's own textile and garment manufacturing industry can not fully self-sufficient, coupled with slow economic development, low consumption capacity, and unclear industrial policies, hindering the smooth development of the textile industry. The Ukrainian side hopes to solve the serious shortage of fabrics through extensive cooperation with China's textile industry.
The delegation of the China Textile Federation held talks with representatives of the Ukrainian side to discuss new opportunities for cooperation between China and Ukraine. Vice President Xia Lingmin introduced the development status of China's textile industry to the Ukrainian side, the characteristics and current situation of foreign investment of Chinese textile enterprises, the chairman of Ukraine Textile Industry Cooperation Association, Ukraine investment agency, Kyiv Fashion sponsor, China uwu friendship cooperation association and other related personnel, and introduced the Ukraine textile industry situation and investment environment in detail. China hopes that the two sides will further strengthen exchanges and communication and strive to establish an effective cooperation mechanism under the framework of the two sides to jointly promote the economic and trade cooperation between China and Ukraine.
