Imported

A few days ago, Haicang inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Xiamen conducted a field inspection of a batch of more than 2000 children's garments imported from Malaysia. It was found that the English words and corresponding contents used in the clothing labels were not in conformity with the national mandatory standards. The Bureau ordered the garment import enterprises to make rectification in accordance with the law, otherwise they would not import. According to the national standard, the words used in the textiles and clothing sold in China should be the standard Chinese characters stipulated by the state, and the corresponding Chinese Pinyin, foreign languages or minority languages can be used at the same time, but the font size of Pinyin and foreign languages should not be larger than the corresponding Chinese characters. The main contents of the instructions should include the manufacturer's name and address, product name, and so on. Product specification, raw material composition and content, washing method, adoption standard, product quality grade, product quality inspection qualification certificate, product category and so on. Among them, the origin of the product should be marked in Chinese, and the specific name and detailed address of the agent (or importer and seller) registered in China according to law. For this reason, the Xiamen inspection and Quarantine Bureau reminds consumers that the instructions for use of consumer goods are the "identity cards" of the products, an integral part of the quality of the products, and the producers' commitment and express guarantee for the quality of the products. Importing clothing trade enterprises should be familiar with the mandatory standards of clothing in China, and incorporate relevant contents into the terms of contracts so as to safeguard their own interests.
