Yang Yongyuan: the development of China's cocoon and silk industry is closely linked with the revival of the Chinese nation.

At that time, the western countries imposed blockade on China, and foreign exchange was tight. The cocoon and silk industry in China mainly produced intermediate products, mainly exported, and used to exchange valuable foreign exchange, thus undertaking the historic task of saving the national economy and making great contributions to the country's economic construction.

Since the reform and opening up, the cocoon and silk industry has been further developed. Today, China is well deserved to become the second largest producer of cocoon and silk in the world, occupying a place in the world's cocoon and silk industry.

Reporter: what do you think is the biggest difficulty facing China's cocoon and silk industry on this road to change? Do you have confidence in this pformation?

Yang Yongyuan: first of all, I have confidence in the pformation of cocoon and silk industry in China.

Now it seems that many excellent enterprises in China have begun to turn to terminal products, and some good silk brands have been produced. There are stores in the famous shopping malls, and domestic consumers are also paying more and more attention to silk. At the same time, China's cocoon and silk industry has great fame both in the past and in the world, so I believe that the pformation of China's cocoon and silk industry will succeed.

However, any one thing will encounter some difficulties and obstacles on the way to success. This is a long and tortuous process and will not be smooth sailing.

At present, I think there are two major difficulties that we face in this road to change. One is that the government has not enough support for China's cocoon silk enterprises, and the two is the scarcity of talent.

In China, it is undeniable that the position of the cocoon and silk industry in the whole national economy is very limited. Although there are many good cocoon and silk enterprises in China, these enterprises are still in the embryonic stage, and are very weak. The macro regulation and control of the state directly affect the development of these enterprises and even the whole industry.

Every hard landing of the economy has caused great damage to the cocoon and silk industries and these sprouted enterprises. In the recovery of the national economy, the cocoon silk industry has not enjoyed the advantages that it should enjoy, so many private enterprises that have just been developed have been closed down by the "severe winter" of macro regulation and control.

It is just like a cancer patient who did not kill bad cells during chemotherapy, but killed many good cells, and finally lost his life in vain.

Secondly, the scarcity of talent is also a stumbling block for China's cocoon and silk industry on this road to change.

Because China's cocoon and silk enterprises have always focused on the production of intermediate goods, and lack of professional design talents like western countries, they are far from being able to design and produce end products.

How to design fashionable clothing and how to create famous brands is the biggest challenge facing cocoon silk enterprises and the whole industry in China.

Especially since twenty-first Century, China's nationalization economy has begun to change to the private economy. The macro environment has provided a good soil for the development of cocoon silk. The pformation of the role of cocoon and silk intermediate products to the end products has already had a good sign. However, there are still few famous brands in the country, the enterprises are few and the strength is not strong enough, and there is no way to form a silk trend, which requires a very long conversion process.

Reporter: in the face of this dilemma, how will the China Silk Association help silk and cocoon silk enterprises overcome difficulties?

Yang Yongyuan: the China Silk Association was founded in 1986. It should play the role of intermediary organizations and become a bridge between the government and enterprises.

To promote the development of China's cocoon and silk industry, the most important one is to encourage and support cocoon silk enterprises, help enterprises do well in publicity, raise awareness and solve difficulties.

Because the cocoon and silk industry is less important in the national economy, the national macro-control has a great impact on the development of the silk industry. Therefore, the Association calls on the state to continue to intensify its efforts to support the cocoon and silk industry.

At the same time, the association should conduct detailed research on the state's policies and inform enterprises, so as to gather information for enterprises, and call on enterprises to take an active part in various types of exhibitions in the textile industry, so that enterprises can make trade partners through exhibition, gather information, expand their eyes, and keep up with the trend of the textile industry.

In addition, the association should continue to advance the technological progress of cocoon and silk industry and stabilize the basis of Cocoon Silk raw materials.

The level of modernization in a country restricts the development of the cocoon and silk industry in this country. The higher the level of modernization is, the worse the development of cocoon and silk is. Therefore, the output of cocoon and silk will probably be less and less.

Reporter: at such an important turning point, how did you feel about being president of the China Silk Association?

Yang Yongyuan: I feel great responsibility and great pressure.

The industry and enterprises have great expectations for the association. In such a special turning point, whether it is industry or individual, it is a new starting point, which will inevitably face great challenges, but at the same time, it is also facing great opportunities.

The "12th Five-Year" period is the key 5 years for China to pform from a big textile country to a strong textile power. At the same time, it is also the key to China's pformation from a large silk country to a strong silk power. It is 5 years to make good use of these 5 years.

Reporter: how will you lead the work of the association to contribute to the pformation of the silk industry?

Yang Yongyuan: first of all, we need to investigate and study and go to the enterprises to understand what the enterprises need, what they want and what they want.

In addition, next year, I hope to introduce some well-known brands, well-known enterprises and well-known entrepreneurs in the industry. Through this starting point, we can encourage the entire cocoon and silk industry to create brands, produce terminal products and create a good development environment.

Although China's cocoon and silk industry is still facing many challenges from the international and domestic macroeconomic environment, there are still some difficulties in the development of the industry.

Reporter: will the association regularly organize some activities to promote industry development and enterprise self construction?

Yang Yongyuan: Yes.

The association will hold some activities similar to the analysis of economic situation. It will inform the enterprises of the latest government policies and the situation of the whole industry through the situation of the press conference, and make a professional analysis report on these policies and quotations, and I believe it will be welcomed by enterprises.

At the same time, the association will also hold some appraisal activities, such as the ten silk dress brand ranking, the ten silk men's clothing brand ranking, etc., through the way of evaluation, do propaganda for excellent enterprises, and also urge those "backward" enterprises to develop rapidly.

There are still some concerns about the purchase of cocoon and silk products by consumers. They are afraid to buy fake products, and let consumers know about the excellent enterprises and brands in the industry by way of comparison, which not only creates fame for enterprises, but also enables consumers to understand the current situation of cocoon silk development in China, and at the same time, it can also maintain healthy competition in the industry.

Reporter: we all know that you have been in the position of director of China Heng Tian Group for many years. Now you are the president of the China Silk Association. From the enterprise to the association, how will you adapt yourself to the new position and change your position?

Yang Yongyuan: I was born in a silk family. I should say that I am a silk man. Although I haven't been directly involved in the development of cocoon and silk industry in China for many years, I have been engaged in the macro research of cocoon and silk industry, so I have a better understanding of the basic situation of the industry.

The enterprise is also a place that pays more attention to practicality. It has been helpful for me to work in the industry for many years. It can help me realize that the industry and enterprises should be closely integrated, and everything should start from reality, go down-to-earth, understand the needs of enterprises, pform the small demand of enterprises into the "great truth" of the government, and at the same time, I will strictly carry out the spirit of the government and the Federation of textile industry, and lead the association to do a good bridge between the enterprises and the government.
