What is so special about Milan?

Roberto Cavalli: unlike my birthplace, Florence, Milan has all the attributes that a metropolis city, such as London and New York, should possess.

This is the center of all the information and social networking. This is the best place to show our work, to get together with our friends, and to meet the media.

However, in addition to these commercialism, Milan has the best nightlife, first-class clubs, such as the Just Cavalli Caf e club, which I started by myself.

What is the importance of fashion week in Milan?

Roberto Cavalli: Milan is an indisputable fashion capital. It is a must for all fashion experts' schedules, because the clothes we display on T will ultimately decide the trend of next season.

Meanwhile, during the Milan fashion week, international fashion forces from all sides will be gathered together, which is a great opportunity for social and business.

What's your favorite food in Milan?

Roberto Cavalli: my favorite dish in Milan is a local bean rice in Milan, also called the Milan risotto, and the Tenuta degli Dei red wine of my own brand.

What is the most impressive artistic discovery you have in Milan?

Roberto Cavalli: of course, "the last supper"! That's definitely one of the greatest masterpieces in the world! The feeling of seeing it for the first time is a pure emotional experience and has a profound influence on my creative inspiration.

Roberto Cavalli:L 'Arco della Pace, which is often neglected, but I personally think it's great.

Roberto Cavalli: the weather! I miss the feeling of being surrounded by nature and my animal friends.

So whenever I have the chance, I will run back to my hometown in Florence to recover my inner peace and harmony.

What do you think is the biggest misunderstanding of foreigners in Milan?

Roberto Cavalli: they all think Milan is an industrial city, but in fact, Milan is a place full of vitality and fun.
