The factory, 2200 workers in the factory, announced that they would hold an indefinite strike from September 10th.

Workers issued a statement last Saturday to outline their dissatisfaction and demands and ask for public support.

The workers asked the prime minister Essam Sharaf to increase the government's capital investment in the company to ensure adequate supply of raw cotton for production.

They also want the government to raise the minimum wage to keep up with rising inflation and to pay two months' bonuses.

Brazil promulgates new regulations to prevent illegal textiles

Imported

The Brazil government has issued several new regulations aimed at reducing illegal imports of textiles and clothing, which is part of its customs system inspection.

However, if these products do not meet the new requirements, these changes may also delay the time when the company's shipping products enter Brazil, and the processing time is slow, and customs control procedures are more.

According to the latest news from the US office of textiles and clothing (OTEXA), the new Brazil customs supervision includes special inspection procedures, which may extend the release time of imported products to 180 days.

The new procedure applies to textiles and clothing in the sixty-first and sixty-second chapter of the classification coordination system, and the resulting delays may also lead to additional storage or other costs.

The customs authorities of Brazil have also promulgated other regulations to strictly monitor and control the import and export of textiles and garments.

The customs authorities must also register any import violations of import companies within the scope of the government's radar (Brazil's foreign trade import and export authorization) system.

This database includes all trade data of the Brazil customs and provides customs data to the authorities, which can be used to identify future differences.

In addition, the move will add another obstacle to imports of textiles and clothing. Since December 1st, the government of Brazil has increased tariffs on imports of textiles, footwear and furniture from 7.6% to 9.1%.
