To celebrate the birth of Wimbledon 125th anniversary, during the year of Wimbledon, the international women's Tennis Association WTA and the British Fashion Council Association jointly launched an event. They chose a group of women stars in the tennis world, and invited special fashion designers to tailor their dresses for them.

Seven of the evening dresses were formally held at the beginning of Wimbledon, and the charity auction was sponsored by the charity supported by WTA and the Welsh charity branch of the British Fashion Association.
