Vietnam'S Imports Of Raw Materials And Garments Have Increased Significantly In The First 5 Months Of This Year.

According to the data of the Central Bureau of statistics of Vietnam, the export volume in May 2011 is estimated at about US $7 billion 500 million, with an import volume of about US $9 billion 200 million and a deficit of US $1 billion 700 million.

The trade deficit increased by 14% compared with April, and hit a record high in the latest 17 months.

In May, imports of fabrics were US $750 million (an increase of US $100 million compared with April), and the import of animal feed and raw materials was about US $160 million (an increase of 14.3% over April).

Ready-made clothes

Raw materials increased by US $40 million compared with last month, chemical materials increased by US $50 million, resin added to US $28 million, steel products increased by US $55 million, automobile imports increased by US $292 million (US $10 million).

Electronic product

Imports increased by US $55 million.

The total exports of the first 5 months were US $34 billion 740 million, up 32.8% from the same period in 2010; the total in the first 5 months.

Import volume

Nearly $41 billion 340 million, an increase of 29.7% over the same period in 2010.

The deficit was $6 billion 600 million in the first 5 months.
