Since the launch of new cotton in 2010, the purchase price of seed cotton has been soaring rapidly, almost one day a price, due to factors such as domestic cotton production and demand increasing.

The price was 8.40 yuan per kilogram, and then continued to rise. The highest price in November 10th was 14.40 yuan per kilogram, and 71% in two months, double the same period last year.

The price of lint rose from 18 thousand and 300 yuan per ton in early September to 32 thousand yuan per ton in November 10th, an increase of 75%, up 128% over the same period last year.

Cotton prices rose too fast and increased too much, resulting in serious virtual high impact on the downstream textile industry.

After November 11th, the state adopted measures to control the cotton market, and cotton prices began to fall sharply.

The purchase price of seed cotton dropped to around 10.60 yuan per kilogram at the end of November, down by 3.8 yuan per kilogram compared with November 10th, and the price of seed cotton has stabilized at about 12 yuan per kilogram recently.

As cotton prices rise and fall, cotton farmers are reluctant to sell and have a heavy wait-and-see mentality.

Because of the small profit margins and high risks, the purchasing and processing enterprises of cotton are not very motivated, and many enterprises have closed their holiday.

According to industry analysis, although cotton prices have dropped substantially in the past month or so, cotton prices are still nearly twice as high as in previous years, and cotton prices in the late period are lacking in momentum, and the possibility of oscillating decline is not ruled out.
