Since June 2006, the Dongguan Municipal People's government has unified planning and management of the two major pavilions in Dongguan in order to strengthen the development of Dongguan's Convention and exhibition industry and avoid vicious circle and competition. All the exhibition items and management rights of the former Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center (Houjie) and Dongguan International Convention and Exhibition Center (Guancheng) are all managed by Guangdong Modern Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., and the textile and garment industry technology and sewing equipment exhibition will be held in Dongguan Houjie. The textile surface accessories and yarn exhibition will be fixed in Dongguan city. After the unified planning, Guangdong Dongguan textile fabric accessories and yarn exhibition will be the only professional textile accessories and yarn exhibition in the area.

Dongguan is the world's manufacturing base, the world textile and garment procurement and processing center.
