Nanogate company in Germany recently developed a new technology called PermaStatic for filtering materials and adding static electricity, that is, adding a storage layer to the filter material to make it permanent with static electricity.

The technology is to store the electric layer below 100nm under the surface of the filter material and attract dust by electrostatic force, thereby improving the filtration performance without changing the fiber density.

According to the introduction, the technology can also be used to pform filter material into high-performance medium, so as to improve filtration performance and keep air permeability unchanged.

The experimental results showed that the electrostatic retention rate of polypropylene medium before treatment was 56.1%, the electrostatic retention rate of polyester was 61.7%, and the PermaStatic treatment increased to 93% and 99.1% respectively.
