Improving Dyeing Properties Of Synthetic Microfiber Leather With Suitable Dyes

Dyeing technology of microfiber synthetic leather is developing rapidly. The finishing finishing technology of leather has been applied to microfiber synthetic leather in the market.

However, most of the microfiber cloth is white. Before the skin is applied to the synthetic leather, it must be coloured to achieve the super simulation effect.

Because of the few active groups on the microfiber fibers, there are a large number of carbon chains and amide groups in the middle of the molecular chain, and no side chains. Carboxyl and amino groups are only found at the end of the molecular chain. Therefore, most dyes are difficult to dye, and the color of the fibers is only stained by the deposition of dyes themselves. The fastness to washing is poor. Taking into account the need for finishing the microfiber synthetic leather, the dyeing requirements are not very high.

The dye with high dye uptake basically meets the requirements of environmental protection, and the color of dyes does not change with pH value during the subsequent processing of microfiber base cloth.

For suede leather, we should not only consider the dye uptake and fastness, but also consider the uniformity, saturation, abrasion resistance and washability.

In general, acid and neutral dyes are more suitable for the dyeing of superfine fiber synthetic leather.

After dyeing with acid dyes, the color fastness was related to the color fastness. The red and brown brown dyes had better binding properties, and the color was more full. The poor yellow, purple and black acid dyes had poor binding ability, which was related to the number of hydrophilic groups in the structure of dye molecules.

After dyeing with neutral dyes, the base fabric has better washing resistance, but its color is lighter. It is suitable for dyeing of light colored microfiber synthetic leather, but its price is more expensive.

Using direct dyes, the dye absorbs better, but the color is light and not full. It can be used in combination with other dyes.

After dyeing with reactive dyes, the washcloth of the base cloth is poor, and it is not suitable for dyeing superfine fiber synthetic leather.

The washing base of the dye solution is also suitable for washing, and the dye dosage is between 3% and 4%. The dye absorbed is basically clarified after dyeing.

If the dye amount is small, the dye will be clear, but the color is light and not full. If the dye is added more, it will not only affect the absorption of the dye, but also make the washability of the dye affected.
