The CPPCC National Committee held the four session of the twelve session of the CPPCC at 15:00 on March 2nd.

Press conference

Wang Guoqing, spokesman of the general assembly, briefed the Chinese and foreign media on the situation and answered questions from reporters.

When Wang Guoqing answered the question, he said that the overall situation of China's economy is good, so there is no "hard landing" problem. They worry too much. If they want to "fail" China with ulterior motives, they may not satisfy him.

The following is a written record:

There are two problems.

First, we are more concerned about China's economic development. Some people think that foreign businesses, including Russians, are running worse in China than they used to be. Even foreign companies believe that they are facing unfair treatment in China. What do you think of this problem? Second, Western experts believe that China's economy is facing a "hard landing". How do you understand "hard landing" and whether China is facing a "hard landing"?

Wang Guoqing:

First, Chinese leaders have repeatedly reiterated in several recent international occasions that China's policy of utilizing foreign capital will not change, and that policies for creating a good investment environment for investment enterprises in China will not change, and that the policy of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of foreign invested enterprises will not change.

By the end of the year, according to the statistics of the Ministry of Commerce, China's attracting foreign investment increased by 5.6% in 2015, even though it slowed down.

From January to November last year, the number of foreign-invested enterprises established in China increased by 11% over the same period last year.

Judging from the point of view of capital drive, this group of data does not support the notion that foreign enterprises' business environment tends to deteriorate in China.

In the past two years, the CPPCC National Committee has also organized a practical investigation of the business environment of foreign enterprises in China.

In the direct contact with foreign enterprises, my impression, including the impression of members of our research committee, that the environment of foreign businesses in China has not deteriorated and is constantly improving.

With the continuous improvement of the socialist market economic system, the changes in demand after the improvement of people's living standards, coupled with the increase in the cost of some elements, the market competition has become more intense.

But I would like to say that the firm confidence of the Chinese government in building a legal, internationalized and facilitation business environment for foreign investment and entrepreneurship in China will not change.

It is believed that China, a large market with a population of 1 billion 300 million, will continue to become a popular investment destination in the world. It can still make money here. You can rest assured that you can invest and start business here.

The second question is, I also see some overseas propaganda that China's "hard landing" does not exist.

From the second questions mentioned above, I have already mentioned that the overall situation of China's economy is good, so there is no "hard landing" problem. They worry too much. If they want to "fail" China with ulterior motives, they may not satisfy him.

China's economy is good, and now we have difficulties, but we will maintain medium and high speed growth.
