< p > > a href= "//www.sjfzxm.com/news/index_p.asp" > Nepal < /a > the government decided to increase the Customs Valuation (reference price) of the 3400 imported commodities in order to cope with the rise in import commodity prices and take measures to stop the low value of goods from evading Customs duties.

< p > it is reported that the Nepalese customs has increased the reference price for many commodities including products, < a href= "//www.sjfzxm.com/news/index_c.asp" > garments, /a, a href=, //www.sjfzxm.com/news/index_c.asp, shoes, /a, engine parts, raw materials, products, and accessories, home appliances, biscuits, juice, utensils, chocolates, cosmetics, lubricants, functional drinks and so on.

On the same day (P), Nepalese Customs issued a notice on the implementation of the new customs reference price at various ports in Nepal.

The notice required that new products be imported within two weeks from India and China (except for letters of credit), and the new reference price will be implemented within three weeks from the goods imported from third countries.

"P", according to customs officials at Nepal, many importers realize the purpose of paying less tariffs by lowering the price of imported goods.

In the future, we will focus on the import commodities that are quoted below the reference price in the course of customs valuation.

Once the new reference price comes into effect, the importer should pay customs duties at the price estimated by the customs regardless of the actual import price.

< p > Nepal Customs recently launched the 3 year reform action plan to enhance customs capacity and efficiency, upgrade infrastructure and improve system system.

The plan was named "the implementation plan for the modernization of Customs".

The customs hopes to set up good customs officers' image and behavior standard through this reform.

< p > the plan will involve a number of areas in urgent need of reform: customs valuation, customs formalities, automation, infrastructure and management institutions.
